Standards follow the item

A square is BS 939 whether granite or cast iron; a vee block is BS 3731. Straightedges are the exception, split by material: cast iron is BS 5204-1, steel or granite BS 5204-2

Working from a sample

Where the original drawing no longer exists, we measure an existing part, produce the drawing and reproduce it
