Cast iron metrology tooling supports the surfaces it works alongside, each item manufactured to its governing standard. Specified for toolroom, inspection and calibration support work.

Standards follow the item

A square is BS 939 whether granite or cast iron; a vee block is BS 3731. Straightedges are the exception, split by material: cast iron is BS 5204-1, steel or granite BS 5204-2.

Working from a sample

Where the original drawing no longer exists, we measure an existing part, produce the drawing and reproduce it.

Certification

Calibration certificates and inspection reports supplied as standard with a new order.

Terminology

Vee blocks are also written V-blocks, and straightedges as straight edges. Squares are also specified as cast iron engineers’ squares.
